Taking a break from social media

I was forced to do this when the library was closed due to "health concerns" earlier this year. I was bored silly, but I can see how it helps to prioritize what's important in life. I have now disconnected my TV and I'm so much better off!

Family lives in a tiny home

I love the tidy cottage feel to this home, I love the fact that it's totally off the grid. Very resourceful couple!

The Truth About Van Life

I'll admit I'm a bit of a romantic when it comes to things like travel and minimalism, etc. It occurred to me the other day that I've spent most of my life living out of a suitcase or a backpack. The Beauty of Everyday Life in Japan

This lady seems to live every day in mindfulness. I wish I had that kind of focus. I'm trying to cultivate it, but it's hard for me to do one thing at a time. Thich Nach Hahn says that the feeling that any task is a nuisance goes away when it is done in mindfulness. I highly recommend his book, "The Miracle of Mindfulness."

My Daily Life in IRAQ (Surprising 14 Days in Iraqi Kurdistan)

The places explored here are front and center in the news right now. This video by Lithuanian travel vlogger Jacob Laukaitis is sympathetic to the idea of an independent Kurdistan (which I am not, because I believe it is being supported to create a puppet state for Israel and energy companies) but this is a fascinating and surprising video and a testament to what Jacob says in the last line: "Most people are kind, welcoming and friendly in every part of the world."

Brand New Example of "See What You Want to See" (like the blue/white dress)

Video from Moneybags73:
Is the man in the video swinging facing the building or facing away from the building. How long before you can choose what you want to see?
